As a condition of your enrolment, you may receive a survey from the Department of Trade, Employment and Training seeking information about your training experience.

It is important to note that an individual is no longer eligible for a government subsidised training place under the Certificate 3 Guarantee once they complete a certificate III level vocational qualification.

For more assistance on selecting the right course for you, please feel free to contact a Careers Advisor on 1300 616 197.

Students undertaking certificate III level training and non-concessional students undertaking lower-level vocational training are required to contribute to the costs of their training through a co-contribution fee.

The out-of-pocket expense to you will vary depending on the course you elect to undertake and is set by Foundation Education. This co-contribution fee is detailed on the Foundation Education website above and is made clear to you prior to your enrolment.

The co-contribution fee may be paid on your behalf by an employer or another third party. Foundation Education (or any other related organisation) cannot pay or waive your training fees unless explicit approval has been sought and received from the Department.

A fee will not be charged for any units not trained or assessed directly by Foundation Education (i.e., achieved through Credit Transfer).

Concessional fees may apply in certain situations which will result in a lower co-contribution fee. The following students are entitled to concessions:

  • students (or their partner or guardian) who hold a Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
  • students with a disability
  • students who are adult prisoners.

For more information on whether you would receive a concessional student status, please refer to Department of Trade, Employment and Training's website or feel free to call a Careers Advisor on 1300 616 197.
